Hi there! I’m Aini, an incoming postdoctral researcher at Aalto University and the ELLIS Institute Finland (Eric Malmi’s group). I recently finished the AIML Residency at Apple in Copenhagen working at the Machine Learning Research team. Previously, I completed my PhD at Aalto University with Prof. Antti Oulasvirta. My thesis focused on modeling human decision-making in naturalistic settings, particularly in graphical user interfaces. Before joining Aalto, I spent some years in the UK studying Economics & Management at the University of Oxford (Brasenose College), and working in software engineering.
